The new trailer for “The Comedy” promises a different turn for the Tim & Eric crew. I wonder how they feel about those critic’s blurbs touting the film as a “generational statement”? Did they just mean to make a “comedy”? Or is this really an attempt at something a little artier? They certainly are marketing the film as that what with the excerpts from William Basinki’s Disintegration Tapes and the shots of weary looking Tim Hidecker wandering around New York. His performance is the part of this film I’m the most excited about. His acting on “Tim & Eric: Awesome Show Great Job” was so absurdly perfect. I imagine seeing him play a more loathable version of his usual persona will be interesting to say the least.
